This policy applies to information collected through our Services, in email, text, and other electronic communications. It does not apply to information collected by third parties, such as the restaurants or stores where you collect your food, even if you reached them through our link.

Please read this policy carefully. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not provide the information we require, we may be unable to provide Services to you.

2. Permissible Age

By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age or have the express permission of a parent or legal guardian. Morganis does not knowingly collect data from minors for account creation. If an adult user provides information about a minor (e.g., for a family-friendly event or specific food preference), the adult warrants they have the legal right to provide that consent.

3. The Information We Collect

Morganis collects several types of information to ensure a smooth "order-and-collect" experience:

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, mobile phone number, and password. This may also include a profile picture and gender if you choose to provide it.
  • Transactional Information: We collect details of the orders you place for collection. This includes the items purchased, the store location, the time of order, and the total amount.
  • Payment Data: To process payments, we collect billing information and credit/debit card details. This is processed through PCI-compliant third-party payment gateways.
  • Your Content: Reviews, photographs of food, and comments you post publicly on the platform.
  • Customer Support: Records of your communications with our help desk regarding orders or app issues.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Connection Data: IP address, browser type, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Activity: Search queries, pages viewed, time spent on specific store menus, and the URL of the site you visited before us.
  • Precise Location Information: With your consent, we collect GPS data to show you the nearest stores for food collection. Since we do not offer delivery, this location data is used primarily to help you find convenient pickup points.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your data primarily to facilitate the "Order and Collect" process:

  • Core Operations: To send your order to the store, process your payment, and notify you via Mail/SMS/Push Notification when your food is ready for collection.
  • Personalization: To suggest restaurants based on your previous orders and current location.
  • Safety & Security: To detect and prevent fraud, such as unauthorized transactions or fake accounts.
  • Improvement: To analyze user behaviour and improve our app interface and partner store selection.

5. Sharing of Information

We disclose personal information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Merchant Partners: We share your name and order details with the restaurant/store you selected so they can prepare your food and verify your identity upon collection.
  • Service Providers: We share data with vendors who provide SMS services, payment processing, and data analytics.
  • Legal Requirements: We may share data with law enforcement if required by a summons, court order, or to protect the safety of our users and the public.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, sale, or restructuring, your data may be transferred to the new entity.

6. The Morganis "Collection-Only" Model

Important Notice on Delivery: Unlike other food platforms, Morganis operates a Self-Collection model.

  • We do not collect your home or office street address for the purpose of routing a delivery driver.
  • The "Location" data we request is used solely to help you find nearby stores.
  • You are responsible for traveling to the store to collect your order. Morganis is not liable for data practices once you are physically present at the merchant's location.

7. Data Storage and Security

  • Data Residency: Your information may be stored on servers located in India or other jurisdictions where our cloud providers operate.
  • Protection: We use industry-standard encryption and physical security measures. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Account Deletion: You may request to permanently delete your account through the app settings or by contacting us. Once deleted, data cannot be restored.
  • Communication: You can opt-out of marketing emails/SMS at any time. However, you will still receive transactional messages (e.g., "Your food is ready for collection").
  • Cookies: You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

9. Policy Amendments

Morganis reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy here and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
